Entering into the Kingdom of God

John 3:3 says, Except a man be born again He cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:5 says, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, He cannot enter into the kingdom of God!

In these passages, the Lord Jesus Christ is teaching us that the kingdom of God is spiritual and that in order for us to search it and look into it we must have spiritual eyes. He’s expressing that we cannot discern it nor appreciate it unless our spiritual eyes are opened. Our spiritual eyes are opened when we are born into the spiritual world.

Additionally, Jesus is saying that, unless we are born again we do not have the encrypted access to enter into the kingdom of God. In other words, our earthly status is not good enough to give us the credentials nor the accreditation to become members of this divine group. In essence, by faith and by water baptism we are given a new spiritual nature. We are anointed with the oil of the spirit and have accomplished the spiritual requirement to be given a new breath from God. The chief evidence is that one is born of the wind of the Spirit. He can feel the presence of God, hear the presence of God, and enjoy the Spirit of God.

In the story of David, the scripture teaches us that on the day he was anointed with oil by Samuel the prophet that from that very day the Spirit of God came upon Him and that He received a new heart from God. In water baptism we enter the covering of Jesus Christ and receive our spiritual anointing service and from that very day the Spirit of God comes upon us. This is differentiated from the baptism of power in the Holy Ghost, but from this day God has birthed us into the spiritual world of the kingdom of God!

God is saying to you, come to me and be born again of my spirit! The Lord of Hosts is saying, I have breathed my life upon you and given you a new heart to enter into my kingdom. What you could not do before, I have given you the ability; where you could not go before, I have given you a new identity. Jesus is saying, you are born again of my Spirit, the death that would not allow you entrance into my kingdom has been removed and now the life that is in you is worth of the world to come.
