Give Your Heart and Attention to God
Don’t waste a single moment trying to please the people in this world because in the end they will all forsake you. In the end they will not remember you and you won’t concern yourself with them. Instead, value God and His word. Value the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ and you will find the best fulfillment in life.
The world often tempts us to go after it. The temptation is constantly present for us to give a percentage of our faithfulness away. If they cannot convert you, they will do whatever possible to pull your attention away from the most important things in life. Today, it’s time to stand up and declare I’M ON THE LORD’s side. Believe this and live this. In this place, you will find meaning in life. Today, the enemy wants to distract you with material things, covetous ideas, and the worries of this life. Let me remind you, we are all going to die or be raptured one day, and we are going to meet the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The only thing that will matter on that day is if you know Christ. The only thing that will matter on that day is if you served Him in this life.
Promotions won’t matter
Extra pay won’t matter
New business ventures won’t matter
Being in the social club won’t matter
Being accepted by people won’t matter
The money in your bank won’t matter
The watch on your wrist won’t matter
The only thing that will matter is your devotion to God and the place of your eternal rest.
The Bible says in Mark 8:34-38, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
God is saying to you today, take your mind off the world, take your mind off the things that are distracting you. Take your mind off the people who cannot truly promote you in life. Take your mind off the things that take you away from Christ, and give your thoughts, mind, heart, and attention to Christ. Run after the Lord, Seek after the Lord! Call upon the Lord. You will find rest for your weary soul and you will eat until you are satisfied. He is here! He is here to save you and bless you! He is here to direct your steps! He is here to give life to you! He is here.
