God Calls You to Travail in the Spirit

The Lord is calling you to step into deeper dimensions of prayer through the power of travailing in prayer. Groaning before God is not weakness, nor is it confusion—it is the language of the Spirit that reaches the throne of God beyond natural words. Just as it is written, “And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob” (Exodus 2:24). The Lord says to you today, I have not forgotten My covenant, I hear the sound of your cry, and I will respond. The groan you release in secret is the key to revival, breakthrough, and prophetic release in your leadership.

The LORD Jesus Himself groaned in the Spirit at Lazarus’s tomb before He called forth resurrection life. The Word says, “Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave” (John 11:38). This shows you that groaning before God carries resurrection power. There may be dead situations in your life, in your ministry, and even in your vision that will only awaken when you travail with God. “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” (Romans 8:26). When you yield to the Spirit’s groaning, you step into intercession beyond your ability, and God Himself begins to pray through you.

The Lord declares that when Zion travailed, she brought forth (Isaiah 66:8). So shall it be with you. Your groaning in prayer will birth new leaders, ignite revival, and release prophetic power into the earth. God says, “From heaven did the Lord behold the earth; To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death” (Psalm 102:19-20). Your groaning will break chains, destroy bondages, and revive the contrite in heart. Be encouraged, for as you yield to travail, you are stepping into the divine mantle of leadership that shakes regions and births the will of God in your generation.

The Spirit of the Lord says unto you, “I hear your groaning.” Do not think your tears, sighs, or cries go unnoticed because God treasures them as intercession before His throne. As I stated, “The LORD Jesus Himself groaned in the Spirit to release resurrection power at Lazarus’s tomb,” and even now, that same power is being stirred within you. Groaning and travailing are biblical spiritual tools every believer can use. God has given you this weapon so that your prayers will not be shallow but will carry weight in heaven. Every groan you release is pregnant with a miracle.

The Lord declares, “The Spirit makes intercession with groanings that cannot be uttered,” and when you yield to the Spirit, He prays through you and releases answers from heaven. “Groaning builds virtue, making prayers weighty and effective.” Your prayers will not return empty, but they will carry authority and release change. God says, “I look down from heaven to hear the groaning of the prisoner and to release them from death.” Even now, your groaning is loosing captives, breaking chains, and calling forth life where there was only death. Step boldly into this dimension.
