Genesis 29:31 “And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb; but Rachel was barren.”
Wait upon the promise of God for your life. Don’t get discouraged by the wait; don’t get down and out because things aren’t coming to you as fast as you think they should. Sometimes the Lord is working on transforming your heart to His will. Sometimes He is seeking how to bring worth, wealth, and blessings out of you. The process of bringing forth the divine takes time; the sequences of events to make you holy and ready for the call of God are sometimes boring to the natural mind. The important thing is that you keep going forth and don’t take your eyes off the prize.
Throughout the Bible you find, that when men obey God, they are rewarded with great gifts and blessings; subsequently, when they rush their own will, instead of following God’s will, they were punished and hurt with sad consequences. The reality is, we need to wait upon our ministry, wait upon our businesses, and wait upon the establishment of our families. The enemy wants you to rush into a ministry, rush into a marriage, rush into a covenant, but great things take time.
Leah wasn’t loved. Leah wasn’t wanted. Leah wasn’t desired. Have you ever considered that the one who was unloved brought forth the most children? Have you ever considered that the one who was despised was the ancestor of our Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. God called Jacob to love a woman he wasn’t attracted to; God called Jacob to serve a wife he didn’t really want. This very woman became the most productive, effective, and instrumental person in his life and future. What is the Lord teaching us? We have to wait on our ministry. Sometimes you may not want to serve God in the capacity He wants. Sometimes you may not feel attracted to the duties of intercessory prayer, fasting, reading the word of God, giving, and preaching; the truth is, this is what will produce the anointing of the Messiah in your life. Do what God calls you to do first and then He will add more supernatural blessings into to your life.
