God Wants Your Belief and Worship

Glory be to God! I said, glory be to God! Let me remind you of something today: God is not counting anybody out. No matter what your past looks like, no matter how far you've fallen, the Lord is not finished with you. There is still grace, still power, still purpose waiting for you—but we must understand something foundational. The key to revival and the gateway to God’s blessing is not found in head knowledge alone, but in belief and worship.

Yes, knowledge and wisdom are valuable. The Bible says, “In all thy getting, get understanding” (Proverbs 4:7). But before you chase doctrine, degrees, or debate, you must cultivate a heart that believes and a spirit that worships. That’s what God is looking for.

Do you remember the woman at the well in John 4? She tried to distract Jesus with a religious argument about the “right place” to worship—Jerusalem or the mountain in Samaria. But Jesus cut through the confusion and declared something radical: “The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23).

In other words, worship isn’t about geography—it’s about intimacy with God. He can meet you in a church building, but He can also meet you in your living room, your car, your hospital bed, your prison cell. Worship is not restricted to a physical location. The Holy Spirit makes every space sacred.

Jesus revealed Himself to that woman in a way He hadn’t done for anyone else. When the disciples were asked, “Who do you say that I am?” only Peter had the revelation. But to this Samaritan woman—an outsider, an adulterer, a woman with a messy past—Jesus plainly said, “I am He.” He gave her living water, and something changed inside her. She ran back to her community and said, “Come see a man who told me everything I ever did.” And through her testimony, an entire city believed.

Let this remind you: God is not afraid of your past. He isn’t intimidated by your mistakes. He isn’t holding your record against you—He's looking for faith and worship. She believed. She worshipped. And she became a vessel of revival.

Some would say, “She had five husbands! She was disqualified!” But Jesus saw her potential, not just her past. She didn’t preach theology or doctrine—she simply preached Jesus. She said, “Come see a man!” That’s enough. And that’s still the message today.

So I want to speak especially to the sisters in the Lord: Don’t let anyone tell you God can’t use you. The first evangelist in Samaria was a woman. The first witness of the resurrection was a woman—Mary Magdalene. Jesus said to her, “Go tell my disciples I’ve risen.” That was a commission to preach the gospel, and she obeyed. God uses who He chooses. And He often chooses the humble, the broken, the overlooked.

This is what Jesus is looking for—worshipers. And if He has to bypass the proud priests in Jerusalem to find a thirsty soul in Samaria, He’ll do it. He wants worship, not performance. He wants surrender, not status.
