The Power of Your Family

Your family is a blessed design by God, orchestrated for the purpose of displaying the perfect unity that exists in God. God has ordained that your family be a place of light, a place of growth, and a place where multiplication can take place. At some point is important that you focus on the alignment and vision of your family. The enemy does not want your family to see the big picture or the strategic goals that God has for it to fulfill. Sometimes our shortsightedness can limit our obedience and cause us to yield to temporary pleasures instead of reaching for the eternal goals that God has set for us.

The scripture says, Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house, your children like olive plants around your table (Psalm 128:3). In other words, fruitfulness will be your portion. When people come to your home they will be refreshed by the fruit of your home and they will be anointed by your children. Your house is a place of spiritual refreshing from God, the Most High would like to come and dine and enjoy His people.

As you develop and prepare your family, in what ways have you separated yourself to give Him glory? In what ways are you focusing your family to reject and resist the systems of the world? What methods are you employing to ensure that the Lord is worshipped in the beauty of holiness? Remember that God has sanctified your family for a purpose, every one of your children have been chosen for a particular reason. The scripture teaches that before we were formed that God knew us and before we came forth out of the womb we were sanctified for the work of God.
