When God is Silent, Keep Waiting on His Timing

The Lord is calling you to understand that His silence is not His absence. Just as Jesus waited two days before moving toward Lazarus (John 11:6), there will be times when God seems still. Yet this stillness is a divine strategy. The Lord is once again teaching us, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God” (John 11:4). You may feel delayed, but you are not denied. In His timing, you will see His glory revealed. You are being shaped, not abandoned.

God wants you to know that delays are part of His process to strengthen your faith. As the scripture says, “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope” (Romans 5:3-4). The waiting season is not wasted; it is the classroom of the Holy Spirit where your character is refined. You are being prepared for greater works. When others are panicking, God has positioned you to stand steady in faith, declaring that His Word will not fail.

The Lord Jesus Christ reminds us that He is “the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” (John 11:25). Even in what seems lifeless, God will breathe new life. As a Kingdom leader, your calling is to trust His timing and lead others into confidence in His Word. “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31). In His presence, you will find strength. In His timing, you will see victory. In His glory, you will walk as a true leader of His Kingdom.

The Word of God is saying to you that God’s stillness is not neglect—it is preparation for glory. When you do not hear God’s voice, know that I He is arranging things for your good. Delays in leadership are not wasted time; they are shaping time. Every pause is an opportunity for Jesus to build in you what cannot be shaken. Your faith is proven by how you respond when the Lord does not move immediately. Don’t panic because your waiting is producing strength that others cannot see.

Waiting seasons are God’s classrooms for building character. The Lord is raising you into a leader who will not be swayed by pressure but who trusts His hand even when unseen. As a leader, never panic under silence, trust God’s timing. As I said before, God moves exactly on time—never too early, never too late. Even in death, you can breathe again. What seems finished is only a stage for Christ’s resurrection power. And hear this, leadership means obeying God’s timing, not people’s pressure. Follow Jesus Christ and you will never fail.
