Your Struggle is Preparing You and it Will Not Last

Your time of trouble will not last. No matter what you are going through, no matter what your current situation is, you will not remain in that place of struggle forever. You may feel like you're in a place of disappointment or a house of suffering, but your time there will not last. God is allowing you to experience the dungeon of lack and the prison of setback to develop you for your next place of leadership and authority.

In Genesis 41, we see that Joseph is in a dire situation. He is locked in the dungeon. He’s lost his position and status. He’s been lied on. He’s been betrayed and persecuted. He finds himself in a very vulnerable and hurtful situation. But it is in this prison that Joseph makes the most important connections of his life. In the prison, Joseph:

Builds relationships

Receives prophecy for the future

Receives divine encounters with God

Receives solutions to the world’s problems

Gets solutions to the problems of the people he’s serving

Becomes content with life

Gets set up to take over the kingdom of Egypt

God is saying to you, just as Joseph’s time was limited in prison, your time is also limited in whatever you are facing. During the struggle, God is giving you wisdom. During the place of distress, God is showing you what relationships are worth keeping and which ones are worth letting go. In the prison, God is showing you the solutions that you will need to help everyone that is coming in your life in the future. You will feed, bless, save, and deliver others. You will be promoted for the wisdom that He’s place in you during your prison experience.
